COVID cases grow in Melton and Moorabool

Today’s COVID numbers are in for Melton and Moorabool.

As of today, there are 558 new cases in Melton, bringing the total of active cases to 3958.

Moorabool has recorded 58 new cases today, making the number of active cases 345.

Children aged five to 11 can get vaccinated from today, with bookings at GP’s, pharmacies and state-run vaccination hubs now available.

A smaller dose of the vaccine will be given specifically for their age group.

The state government announced last week eight flagship vaccination hubs offering a friendly environment for five to 11 year olds receiving their jabs.

The Melton vaccination hub has imagery of native Australian animals, as well as entertainers, activities and show bags designed to help make the vaccination experience positive for children and their families.
