Melton book lovers can take their love of reading to the next level, with two monthly online book clubs hosted by best-selling authors.
All library members are welcome to join for free, with the events including discussions with authors on all things books.
Library Lovers with Maya Linnell is held on the third Wednesday of each month, featuring a series of guests such as authors, a lifestyle expert and a local librarian.
Maya Linnell is the bestselling author of several rural fiction books, as well as a former country journalist and radio host.
The session invites attendees to ask questions and interact with the guests, conversing on topics such as books, gardening and cooking.
The next session will be held on August 17, with special guests food writer Tori Haschka and audiobook narrator Casey Withoos.
Ben’s Book Club is held on the fourth Tuesday of each month, with a monthly book chosen and the author joining to discuss.
Ben Hobson is a Brisbane author and teacher who has been nominated for several literary awards.
His event will include the discussion of a monthly book, available to members on the Libby reading app.
The next session on August 23 will discuss the thriller novel Conviction by Frank Chalmers.
