Vehicles impounded

A disqualified learner driver tested more than three times the legal blood-alcohol limit in a booze bus operation dubbed Operation Fortified in Hobsons Bay on Saturday night. The Williamstown man, 26, blew 0.176. Police impounded his vehicle and three others on the night, and detected 28 offences, including 11 drink-drivers.

Yarraville development

Melbourne developer ID_Land has paid $20 million to acquire the derelict former Morlynn Insulators factory at 2 Banool Avenue in Yarraville. The 1.42-hectare site will be redeveloped with townhouses.
