Hundreds of bikers hit Bacchus Marsh to ‘hound the black dog’

More than 300 motorcyclists (pictured) took off from Main Street, Bacchus Marsh, on Sunday for the annual ‘Black Dog Ride’ to Maldon.

The 100-kilometre ride through the central highlands raises vital funds for suicide prevention organisation Lifeline.

Bacchus Marsh resident and Lions club member David Still said more than $10,000 was raised for the charity.

“It was an outstanding turnout. I’ll definitely take part next year. It was a two-hour ride through some beautiful terrain and was very enjoyable being surrounded by a great group of people getting together for a good cause.”
