Justin Siedlecki’s blazing bat has put Eynesbury in a dominant position after day one of the WSUCCA A-grade Melton derby between the Eagles and Rockbank.
The Rams were fired out for 92 after being sent in before Siedlecki’s second century in as many knocks put the Eagles 101 runs in front by the end of the day.
Eynesbury won the toss and sent Rockbank in at Hoppers Crossing Secondary College, dismissing the Rams by the 34th over. Chris Lunn (3-22), Blair Sole (2-31) and Siedlecki (2-30) were multiple wicket-takers for Eynesbury.

Siedlecki then took charge with the bat, smashing 103 before falling late in the afternoon.
The quick runs propelled Eynesbury to 5-193 at stumps, even with Brandon McGee taking three wickets and Daniel Piccolo two for Rockbank.
Eynesbury declared at the close, leaving it a chance for an outright result on day two unless Rockbank’s bats can improve.
Action continues from 1.15pm this Saturday.
