Hard work and the occasional glass of red wine are keys to a long
life, according to Melton’s Angiola Gentile (pictured).
Mrs Gentile was
surrounded by family and friends at Melton’s Sutton Park Assisted Aged
Care as she celebrated her 101st birthday on Friday.
Her family says she
has always been a very happy and loving wife, mother, grandmother and
great-grandmother.
Mrs Gentile, who migrated from Italy to be with her
children in 1998, has six children, 17 grandchildren, 18
great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She managed the
family’s general store in Italy from 1945 to 1975.
