Double the delight

In a leafy street in Westlakes estate, this double-storey house is a handsome contender with an air of solidity that marks it as a stayer in the ever-changing design race.

While spick and span and ready for move-in day, it nevertheless has loads of potential for a purely cosmetic makeover that would zap it into a smart family or executive pad.

It’s a place tailor-made for personal dream fulfilment.

Front gardens are established while out back there’s space galore (the block is about 879 square metres) to create something special. Around a timber staircase (with storage beneath), the tiled entry foyer has an open carpeted study and a powder room on the left. Opposite is a carpeted lounge room with a second entry point to the kitchen-meals area.

A breakfast bench with a stainless-steel raised servery bar, a dishwasher, stainless-steel splashbacks, wall oven and 900mm gas cooktop are kitchen highlights.

Upstairs, there’s a big living room surrounded by three bedrooms, a bright bathroom with heat lamp, and a separate toilet. The good-sized main bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite.

The meals area opens to a large, pitched-roof pergola above aggregate paving.

Combined with a small shade hut and extensive concrete paving, this relaxation and entertainment haven has plenty of space for gatherings.

A new, insulated Colorbond shed with water and power connected is a perk for tradies or hobbyists and is accessible from the double garage’s back roller door.
