‘Toxic’ Fiskville CFA training centre attacked

Ballan Police are investigating graffiti damage at the Fiskville CFA training centre.

CFA Chief Officer Euan Ferguson said the words ‘‘toxic dump’’ and ‘‘shut down’’ were found  Monday morning on a brick wall behind the recruit accommodation block.

Mr Ferguson said the attack was cowardly.

“It is appalling that volunteers, staff, trainees and visitors have been subjected to such cowardly intimidation, just metres from the living quarters of recruit firefighters,” he said.

“Fiskville is also a place of remembrance and home to our memorial to firefighters who have fallen in the line of duty.”

More information to come.
