A cool day for reading

RESIDENTS and visitors can get some relief from the heat at the Lerderderg library today and tomorrow.

Both days have been declared “health alert” days by the state government.

Under the council’s heatwave policy, people can access a temporary cooling centre in the James Young Room from 9am-6pm.

The library is equipped with toilets, tea and coffee-making facilities, a free internet connection and a large range of books and recorded music. Light snacks and cool drinks will be available.
