Riddell got over the line by two-points against Woodend-Hesket in a nail biting round three opener in the Riddell District Football League on Friday.
Both teams scored eight goals although it was Riddell’s two points that proved the difference to keep them undefeated this season.
Quite the opposite was Melton Central losing to Wallen by 137-points, 31-188 in a one-sided affair at Arnolds Creek Reserve.

On Anzac Day, Diggers Rest defeated Macedon by 23-points on their home turf at Tony Clarke Reserve, 88-111.
