Melton South re-signs stars

Melton South Football Club is revelling in a number of re-signings for the 2022 season of the Ballarat Football League.

Heath Pritchard will remain at the helm for the Panthers’ 2022 fight as coach.

Matt Notman, Cody Chapman, Riley Theo, Rhys Lee, Mitch Fino, and Shaun Wyatt have all re-signed with the Panthers to continue their football journey.

In a post to its Facebook page, the club said they were “very pleased” to have Pritchard stay with them.

“Heath has already done a mountain of work in preparation for next year,” the statement said.

“We can’t wait for him and the playing group to get back into training and working towards moving the club forward in 2022.”

The club also said on social media that Chapman, Fino, Theo and Lee had been exposed to senior football over the past two seasons of playing.

“The improvement from this group has been immense,” the post said.

“No doubt all four are future leaders of our club and we look forward to their continued development in 2022.”

Of Wyatt, the club said: “Playing on ball and half forward, Shaun showed his quality in many games last year and quickly became a favourite amongst both the supporter and playing groups.”

The Panthers’ said that Notman had “once again shown his faith” in them by re-signing.

“Matt finally was able to get a decent run of things this season on the injury front and his experience and calmness will once again be an asset in 2022.”
