Darley out of finals

Darley failed to get out of the first round of the Ballarat Cricket Association T20 Cup finals, losing on Tuesday night.

After travelling to Russell Square to take on East Ballarat for the final, Darley lost the toss and was sent to the field.

East Ballarat made the most of the decision to bat first piling on 8-233 from the 20 overs.

Benjamin Longhurst was the pick of the Darley bowlers with 3-45 from his four overs.

Darley was unable to get anywhere near the total set, lasting just 17.3 overs, being bowled out for 104.

Batting at nine, Alex Morton was Darley’s best with the bat, making an unbeaten 32.

Bacchus Marsh is through to the semi-final after beating Delacombe by 90 runs.
