Western Bulldogs premiership cup does circuit

Melton South Primary School students Lorelei and Ben hold the AFL Premiership Cup.

It’s been a lifetime in the making for the Doggies … and for the sons and daughters of the west.

Western Bulldogs devotees – and almost everyone else in the west – are still grinning from ear to ear over the AFL grand final win.

But there were none happier than local students when Western Bulldogs representatives toured several schools with the premiership cup last week.

Melton South Primary School assistant principal Natalie Sadler said the cup was displayed at the school gym for an hour on Friday.

“The students were very excited,” she said. “I wish we could have kept it for longer than an hour, as there were arguments over who gets to have their photographs taken in front of it.”
