Melton council will assess the tree reserve on Rockbank Middle Road in Caroline Springs after residents complaints.

Councillor Steve Abboushi moved a motion to have council officers inspect the tree reserve to identify any trees that may have poor structure that require removal.

The motion comes after Cr Abboushi met with residents to see the trees first hand on the street and discuss residents concerns.

“I’m looking forward to having officers investigating to inspect those issues so we can take the appropriate action required to make sure that our residents aren’t interrupted by any council asset,” Cr Abboushi said.

The inspection will focus on the density of the trees and instances where the health of the tree is being impacted.

All councillors voted in favour of the motion.
