Hundreds of children have grabbed the chance to meet their favourite soccer players, kick ball and learn the tricks of the trade.
As part of the Woodlea Soccer Clinic, eight former Brazilian World Cup soccer players, including coach Marco Grava and midfielder Junior Maranhao, visited the Springside Recreation Reserve in Caroline Springs.
It’s the second year Woodlea has hosted a soccer clinic, and marketing manager Lora Djurdjevic said the developer had received hundreds more applications than could be accepted.
“Not many children have the opportunity to meet world-famous soccer players,” Ms Djurdjevic said.
“So we were excited to be able to bring this fun, community-focused initiative to local families within our community.”
Woodlea residents and Bacchus Marsh Grammar staff and students were invited to the clinic, which was held on Saturday, November 19.
