New fest in town

A chance to treat your senses is coming to Caroline Springs, with a new festival set on the banks of Lake Caroline launching next month.

Hosted for the first time on Saturday 22 November, the Caroline Springs Beer, Food & Wine Festival will transform Lake Street, the foreshore, and the WestWaters Entertainment Complex into a more-than-three-acre and family-friendly event.

The festival will include more than 20 beverage producers pouring craft beers, boutique wines and artisanal spirits.

For food lovers, there will be pub classics at Ruck & Rover Sports Bar; share plates and charcuterie at Miss Caroline; seafood, pasta and premium grill selections at Saige Bistro; along with cheese platters, dessert trucks and plenty of lakeside spots to sit and snack under the sun.

There will also be two live music stages packed with pub rock, pop, and local talent.

The event also aims to cater well for families, with kids’ games, face painting and balloon artists all part of the festivities.

WestWaters general manager Jesse Kornoff said the organisation is thrilled to showcase incredible producers, celebrate local musicians, and “bring our much-loved interstate festival to the local community”.

“If you love live music and enjoy a beer and wine under the sun, this is a day not to be missed!” he said.

“This festival is proof that Melbourne’s west is not only growing in population but also thriving with passionate new businesses producing high-quality food and beverages … we’re proud to showcase how far our region has come and give people outside of Caroline Springs a great reason to visit our community”.

Entry is free and the festival will run from 11am to 5pm.
