Near-drowning at Melton Waves

Emergency services responded to a near-drowning at Melton Waves Leisure centre on the Labour Day public holiday at about 1.30pm.

Police and paramedics have confirmed a boy was pulled unresponsive from the water before being taken to the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) in a serious condition.

RCH has confirmed the child is now in a stable condition.
