Moorabool residents have shown enthusiasm for storm clean up, with Moorabool council’s free mulch initiative booking out in less than 24 hours.
The council posted about the initiative yesterday, offering two cubic metres of free mulch to residents per day, to aid in the clean up of any storm debris.
The bookings for mulch collection from the Ballan Transfer Station from Friday, October 22, until Sunday, October 24, sold out before they were a day old.
In a post on their Facebook page, Moorabool council said the mulch collection was “super popular”.
“Stay tuned for the next round, which we will advertise on this Facebook page and on our website,” the statement said.
