A man has been charged with murder following the death of a 67-year-old woman in Bacchus Marsh on Saturday night.
Police have revealed the 20-year-old man from Darley and the woman were known to each other.
Emergency services were called to an address on Egan Court about 10.30pm on Saturday.
Police said the woman was found with critical injuries and died at the scene.
The man was charged with murder by Homicide Squad detectives this afternoon.
Police said they are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
