Melton council recently announced that the much loved Djerriwarrh Festival will return this year on November 5, after two years of cancellations.

The festival was an annual major event tradition for the City of Melton, designed to celebrate the multicultural diversity of the municipality.

The event includes a huge street parade, which will return this year, with applications for local businesses and groups to participate open from now until July 8.

The theme for this year’s parade is ‘Celebrate today, imagine the future’.

The festival will also include a pet expo, intercultural expo and a ‘get active’ expo, with applications also open from now.

Attendees can also expect a live entertainment stage, food stalls, a kid’s zone, fireworks and more.
