The west’s Learning for Earning Festival is back for 2022 and will provide jobseekers with skills to help with employability.

The free event will run from May 25-26, and will feature a series of writing sessions, marketing workshops, business promotion strategies and mock job interviews.

Participants will also have access to three online forums, opportunities in the west, meet the major employers in the west and want to work in local government forum.

City of Melton mayor Goran Kesic said the festival was a great opportunity to learn about local employment opportunities and connect with major employers in the west.

“This festival is designed to help participants learn new skills and consider different career pathways,” Cr Kesic said.

“There are events that can help you write your resume, promote your business, and even mock job interviews,

“Participants also have the advantage of asking questions directly to major employers about what they look for in applicants, what jobs are available and what training and qualifications are needed for those jobs.”

The Learning for Earning Festival is a joint program created in collaboration with LearnWest, City of Melton, Brimbank, Darebin, Hobsons Bay, Maribyrnong and Wyndham city councils.
