Hockey thirst quenched

A hundred sports bottles are helping young hockey players in Caroline Springs stay hydrated this season.

Caroline Springs Hockey Club’s junior players are each being given a water bottle thanks to donations that are part of the City West Water Choose Tap program.

The program is aimed at promoting healthy living.

Club spokesman David Gorton said that the bottles would help to meet the needs of junior members at the club.

“With so many juniors now joining the club, were approaching a membership of over 150,” Mr Gorton said.

“Sports bottles will help a lot. What it means is that children can keep hydrated in the appropriate way.

“We really value this contribution, and with water stations on site at the Melton council Bridge Road Sports facility, our juniors can make healthy choices.”

He said he hoped that the growth in junior hockey would continue.

“With quality coaching and a positive culture, we want our members to become life-long fans of the game, the club and health in general,” he said.
