Volunteers are still being sought for one of Melton’s most popular festivals.
Applicants can register to be part of the supersized 2018 Djerriwarrh Festival until June 29.
Melton council’s annual event, on November 11, promises a jam-packed day full of family-friendly fun, food and entertainment.
This year’s theme is All that Glitters and the council is on the lookout for people in the community wanting to get involved.
Melton mayor Bob Turner said that while the event attracted visitors from across the state, it was the involvement from locals that made the day extra special.
“While big-name bands grace the main stage, it’s the community members and groups which make the day shine,” Cr Turner said.
“The parade down High Street is always a hit. So if you are part of a group that you’re proud of, make sure you sign up to share this with the rest of the city.
“Don’t miss out by leaving it too late; sign up to get involved today.”
The festival needs people interested in getting involved in the community parade, market stalls or community information zone.
