Drink-drivers nabbed at three times legal limit

Police picked up two alleged drink drivers more than three times over the limit at a booze bus site in Caroline Springs on Sunday, June 25.

The man and woman, who were not known to one another, entered the site on Rockbank Middle Road shortly after one another about 8pm.

The pair both returned positive breath test results before they both blew more than three time over the limit.

The 44-year-old man from Burnside furnished a reading of .173 and the 28-year-old Caroline Springs woman, who was driving with her two children in the car, furnished a result of .160.

Police suspended both drivers’ licences immediately and both cars were impounded for 30 days.

It is expected the man and woman will be charged on summons in relation to drink driving.
