Two men have been charged with 35 offences between them following a crime spree in Toolern Vale, Diggers Rest and Bacchus Marsh last week.
Melton Crime Investigation Unit detectives charged a 29-year-old Burnside man with burglary, theft, handling stolen goods, possessing the proceeds of crime and possessing a drug of dependence in relation to the July 2 burglaries.
He has also been charged with four counts of contravening bail conditions, one for committing an offence while on bail, theft, unlicensed driving and threats to damage property.
Police also executed four outstanding warrants for assault, theft, drug possession and motor vehicle theft.
A 26-year-old Melton man was also charged in relation to the same series of incidents. He was charged with burglary, theft, handling stolen goods, possessing proceeds of crime, unlicensed driving, attempted theft of a motor vehicle, possessing a drug of dependence and going equipped to steal.
The Melton man was also charged with two counts each of assaulting police, resisting police and breaching bail conditions
Police are calling for help to find property stolen on July 2 including motorbikes, trailers, a 4WD buggy, a front end loader and power tools. Call the Melton Crime Investigation Unit on 9747 7999.
