Men’s shed members make playground ship shape

A Darley ‘pirate ship’ has been spruced up by a group from the Bacchus Marsh Men’s Shed.

Over two Tuesdays, six men repainted a pirate ship and cubby house at Darley Neighbourhood House.

They added the final touches last week.

Neighbourhood House manager Jeanette McGonegal said the outdoor playspace looked brand new.

“They did a fabulous job for us,” Ms McGonegal said. “It’s great to have some community volunteers come along.

“[The men’s help] means that the equipment is kept in really good condition … and we were able to get it done by just paying for the material and not having to pay for labour.”
