A Bacchus Marsh man is looking forward to saying farewell to rental payments and hello to a home of his own after taking out a division one prize worth more than $623,000 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The man held one of the seven division one winning entries in the draw.

As well as winning the coveted division one prize, he also won division three 12 times and division four 15 times, bolstering his total prize to $623,776.92.

The man said he played the same numbers for almost two decades.

“I chose these numbers many years ago. I’ve been playing them for about eighteen years,” he said.

“I have two tickets; one is made up of my entire family’s birthdates and then I have this one which is full of numbers chosen at random.

“It just goes to show that you just need the right numbers – it really is the luck of the draw.”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his life-changing win, he said he couldn’t wait to buy a new home for his loved ones to enjoy.

“We have always rented… this win will allow us to finally stop renting and get a house of our own.

“It will be a nice feeling not having to pay rent but to own my own home.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Bacchus Marsh Newsagency

Newsagency owner Pete Drever said he was incredibly excited to discover his outlet had sold a division one winning entry.

“This is the second division one winning entry we’ve sold in less than six months,” Mr Drever said.

“We have already put up signs and balloons in store to let our customers know we’ve sold a big one.

“We would like to extend our congratulations to our latest winner. The prize could not have come at a better time.
