New homes on Pet Adoption Day in Bacchus Marsh

Homeless pets in Bacchus Marsh had the opportunity to find new homes at the weekend with PetStock Bacchus Marsh celebrating national Pet Adoption Day.

Local animal rescue groups and pet adoption experts shared information about the process and gave insight on how to become a pet foster carer.

The session was hosted by PETstock’s charity foundation, PETstock Assist, in partnership with non-profit animal rescue group PetRescue.

PetStock Bacchus Marsh owner James Barnes said: “We need to raise awareness of adoption as a first option for people when they want a pet.”

The event also supported the Pets Haven Foundation in helping rehouse dogs like Keely, pictured below getting a hug from Pet Haven’s Bianca Stockley.
