Melton police are on the hunt for a thief who stole playground equipment from the Eclipse childcare centre.
Security footage captured the man breaking into a storage shed at about 2.15am on Wednesday, July 15, to steal the play equipment, before jumping a fence into the playground and taking more toys, including buckets, spades and tricycles.
He loaded the goods into a late model, silver Kia Carnival.
Before leaving, the thief took a wooden play bridge, loaded it on the roof racks of a late model, silver Kia Carnival and drove off.
Police believe the equipment is valued around $5000.
