Marsh Rodders holding 10th Hot Rod Car Show

Hundreds of custom-made cars will be on display next weekend for all automobile lovers to peruse.

The annual Hot Rod Car Show is a chance for people to show-off their cars and others to find unique car parts and car-related memorabilia at the “swap meet” market.

The Marsh Rodders hosted the first “swap meet” in 2005 – since then it’s expanded to include a “show and shine” and a range of family-friendly activities, president Brett Boardman said.

“Ten years ago, we decided to host a swap meet and since then, it’s just grown,” Mr Boardman said.

“Now, there’s an opportunity for everyone to get together and display their pride and joy at the show and shine.”

Mr Boardman said the day attracted hundreds of car-lovers and their families from all across the state.

To celebrate the show’s 10th birthday, rockabilly band Rosie and the Kings will be performing on the day. “There’s something for everyone,” Mr Boardman said.

The show will start at 7am, and is expected to finish at about 1pm on Sunday, October 18 at the Maddingley Park, Taverner Street. Tickets cost $5.
