The inaugural Viva La Dulce festival is set to bring a whole lotta sweet lovin’ to Moorabool this month.

The food and wine festival at St Anne’s Winery will feature many regional producers, including Bests Winery, Buninyong Wines and Peregrine Ridge Wines, and lots of activities to keep younger festival-goers entertained.

Ballan Rotary Club has organised the event, with all proceeds to go to Ballan Hospital.

Club president Christopher Caroll urged wine buffs and food lovers alike to discover the true art of putting fine fare on dining tables.

“Allan McLean – master port blender with over 40 years’ exp

erience – will conduct port tours, and port tastings of the finest ports made from 1949 to 2012,” Mr Caroll said. “A jumping castle and musical entertainment will make this a truly family-friendly event.”

Mr Carroll says Bacchus Marsh Coaches will run a free bus service from Ballan railway station to St Anne’s Winery at Myrniong.

The festival runs from 11am to 3.30pm on Sunday, August 30. Tickets cost $15.
