Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision which occurred in Diggers Rest this afternoon.
Officers have been told that a school bus, which was carrying three children, was travelling south along Vineyard Road around 4.20pm.
It is believed a car attempted a right-hand turn from Houdini Drive and turned in front of the bus.
The bus and the car collided and the driver of the car, believed to be a man in his 50s, died at the scene.
The two other occupants of the car and one of the children from the bus were taken to hospital suffering minor injuries.
The parents of the children involved have been notified.
