Melton Thoroughbreds yesterday announced Mick Downie as coach of the Big V division 1 outfit on a two-year contract.
The former Altona Gators and Werribee Devils coach succeeds Grant Spencer, who left Melton to sign for division 1 rivals Sunbury Jets.
