AN agency for a new Bendigo Community Bank branch will open at Bacchus Marsh Newsagency tomorrow, providing real-time banking services.
The community bank project is still in the pledge phase.
Chairwoman Claire Sutherland (pictured with Ian Barnett) says a target of $800,000 has been set, with about $615,000 raised.
“The bank agency at the newsagents will mean locals can start to open their accounts and transact on these accounts straightaway without any travel.”
