Refugees will learn skills needed to work on irrigation farms as part of a new project in Exford.
Catholic Care volunteers including Sister Elisa (pictured) and a steering committee set up by Melton MP Don Nardella are aiming to connect South Sudanese and Burmese refugees with the land, and their new communities.
“It is about teaching them and giving them the skills and safety practices so that they can work in farms across Werribee or Bacchus Marsh,” Mr Nardella said.
