MELTON Phoenix continued its march up the FFV provisional league 3 north-west table by beating Melbourne City 3-0 at the weekend.
The Phoenix jumped into fourth on the table, overtaking Flemington-based Melbourne Tornado. Melton (27 points) trails third-placed Bundoora United (32), Heidelberg Stars (33) in second and ladder leader Darebin United (36).
Melton’s women lost 2-1 to Whittlesea Rangers in women’s state league 3 north-west at the weekend and sit sixth on the table.
