Melton’s thespians and theatre lovers are being called to the stage for a very exciting opportunity, with Melton Performing Arts announcing auditions for its first production of 2026.
The company will present Guards! Guards! – a stage comedy adapted from the novel by bestselling British author Terry Pratchett.
The play brings Pratchett’s much-loved discworld characters to life in a fast-paced, humorous tale packed with larger-than-life personalities and sharp wit, but it can’t be done without a cast.
Auditions will be held on Saturday 28 February and Sunday 1 March at Melton Christian College in Brookfield, with the production set to hit the stage at the Melton Community Hall between 28 May – 30 May.
However, organisers have made it clear that commitment is key.
Those auditioning are asked to declare any clashes up front, with the company warning that cast members who miss more than three rehearsals without prior notice or reasonable cause may have their roles reconsidered.
Melton Performing Arts is encouraging performers of all experience levels to consider auditioning for what promises to be a lively and comedic start to the 2026 season.
