It’s officially fire season across Australia and with the extreme weather conditions affecting people across the country, it’s time to get prepared and educated with the Australian Red Cross EmergencyRedi workshops.
The one-hour session will be held at Melton Library and Learning Hub on Tuesday 20 January between 10-11am and focuses on helping locals to better understand and prepare for emergencies as extreme weather events become more common.
The workshop will cover risks specific to the City of Melton, along with practical, psychological and social steps people can take to reduce the impact of disasters on themselves and their families. Participants will also be guided through how to start their own emergency RediPlan.
The session is free to attend, with a complimentary coffee provided, but bookings are essential.
More information and bookings via the Melton Learning Directory.
