Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews responded to a house fire in Lagarna Drive, Melton on Tuesday.
Several calls were received about the first at 1am, with the house fully involved when crews arrived.
A search of the house found no occupants and it is believed to be abandoned.
The fire was deemed under control by 1.30am
The cause is being treated as suspicious and will be investigated by police.
