Police are investigating after an altercation at a shopping centre in Melton West yesterday led to the arrest of a teenager.
Officers were called to High Street at 4pm yesterday following reports of a fight between school age children near the Woodgrove Shopping Centre.
It is alleged that a 15-year-old girl was assaulted and sustained minor injuries, but was not admitted to hospital for treatment.
A 17-year-old girl was subsequently arrested at the scene.
She was handed a caution for affray, which refers to incidents where physical altercations break out in public places.
