Council is calling for expressions of interest from artists and local businesses to participate in 2023’s Paste-Ups program.

The Paste-Ups program pairs local artists interested in having their work displayed as a paste-up, and businesses looking to host and artwork are brought together to brighten the community.

The Paste Ups Program installs artworks across the municipality that reflect the unique identities of Moorabool’s townships and communities.

Mayor Cr Rod Ward said the program is assisting to reconnect communities to themselves and others, as travel and cultural experiences once again thrive post-pandemic.

“I look forward to seeing what our thriving arts community puts forward through this program,” he said.

“Local businesses are lucky to have this opportunity to re-ignite our urban spaces visually.”

This year’s theme is ‘creating moments of joy in everyday life’ and artists must respond to this theme in their expression of interest.

Businesses across the shire are encouraged to apply, and must identify a brick or concrete wall in good repair and a prominent location.

Applications for artists and businesses close on Sunday 5 March.
