Kool Kidz Ravenhall Childcare children were having the times of their lives as a five-tonne excavator came to childcare.

Members from the Level Crossing Removal Project team visited the centre, with children getting the chance to try on personal protective equipment, take photos with a five-tonne excavator and ask questions of the construction team.

The event was held to thank the Kool Kidz community for their continued patience and support, following the start of major works to remove the nearby congested level crossing at Robinsons Road, Deer Park.

Works have including completing service relocation works and constructing a new service road near Kool Kidz centre on Westwood Drive.

The project team will continue to work with Kool Kidz to manage impacts throughout the project.

Level Crossing Removal Program director Andrew Pepplinkhouse said they were pleased to give local youngsters the chance to have hands-on experience learning about their projects.
