The number of Melton and Moorabool residents who have received two doses of a COVID vaccination has risen sharply in the past week.
New federal government data shows that 86.8 per cent of Melton residents are fully vaccinated, an increase of 6.1 per cent.
Residents in Moorabool are now at 91.6 per cent double jabbed, an increase of 5.3 per cent.
Both area’s one dose rates have exceeded 95 per cent, a threshold that was reached about a fortnight ago.
Data also showed that 93 per cent of Victorians aged 16 and over have had at least one dose and 84.7 per cent have had two.
More than 92 per cent of Victorians aged 12 and over have had one dose and 83.6 per cent are double vaccinated.
