Two arrested
Police have arrested two men after they crashed a stolen car in Grangefields last Monday. The arrests came after a Chrysler sedan was allegedly stolen during an aggravated burglary at a home in Wendouree about 8am. Police received multiple calls regarding the vehicle being driven erratically and at high speed on the Western Freeway. The vehicle was located near Leakes Road about 10am after it had crashed into the wire barrier. Two men were arrested after a short foot pursuit.

Roadside assistance
The state government is giving councils who manage Victoria’s rural roadsides a share of $11.5 million over four years to prevent the spread of invasive plants and animals. Moorabool Council has received $44,445 and Melton Council has received $13,048 to help tackle the issue.
