The Hot House Project is offering up-and-coming entrepreneurs free training and mentoring.

Through a series of master classes delivered by VU Innovations, participants will learn how to transform bright ideas into new businesses.

They will be presented with networking opportunities, mentoring sessions and special events in addition to having access to six months of subsidised co-working space at Western BACE at Cobblebank.

Melton deputy mayor Lara Carli said the council was committed to helping start-up businesses realise their dreams.

“Council continuously strives to create an environment where all businesses – big or small – can flourish and where emerging leaders can achieve their goals, and experience success,” she said.

“The Hot House Project is an exciting program that fosters creativity, and supports entrepreneurship, in our diverse and thriving local economy.”

Residents interested in finding out more about The Hot House program can book a 10-minute one-on-one session with a start-up expert. The expert will provide feedback and advice and determine if the idea is suitable for the Hot House Project.

Registrations close on Thursday, November 29.
