Driver flees, man arrested

Westgate Highway Patrol members arrested a 22-year-old man in Wyndham Vale on November 12. Police attempted to pull over a car on Ballan Road just after midnight as part of a routine intercept when the driver allegedly fled. A man, who was arrested soon afterwards at an Opala Court residence, was charged with committing an indictable offence while on bail, reckless conduct endangering life and traffic and driving-related offences.

Man killed in crash

A Wyndham Vale man, aged 66, has died following a single-car collision in Tarwin Lower on Saturday night. Investigators believe the driver of the car failed to negotiate a left hand bend, causing his vehicle to cross to the incorrect side of the road.
