New reserve a hit

Hobsons Bay council will officially open a new adventure playground at Brooklyn Reserve on Father’s Day, with everyone invited to a free barbecue and a live Australian animal show.

Brooklyn’s newest play space includes a six metre high climber and exercise equipment suitable for all ages.

Brooklyn Tennis Club is also inviting people to have a free hit as it offers half price membership for one day only.

There will be soccer and basketball activities hosted at the new reserve facilities, plus a demonstration on how to use the exercise equipment.

The council event is from 10am-noon and the free tennis day starts an hour earlier.
