Hard work and persistence has paid off for seven young players from Caroline Springs-based club Sunshine George Cross Club.
Under-12 footballers Jake Jurica, Danidu Aluthjage, Max Caputo, Kayne Razmovski, Jarome Charan, Sebastian Esposito and Danijel Lugonja are bound for Adelaide in December to represent Victoria at the Pacific School Games.
Team manager Tom Razmovski said all of the players are part of Football Federation Victoria’s talented player identification program.
“We’re very proud of the boys,” he said.
“A few of the boys have been playing above their grade and are on the top of the ladder.
“They come from around the western suburbs and they are very committed to their training and it’s really paid off.”
Club president Jamie Checuti said he was “extremely proud” of the boys’ achievements crediting the club’s youth development program with fostering the boy’s success.
