The business of winning

Melton’s best and brightest in business have been shortlisted for the Melton Business Excellence Awards.

The 28 finalists were announced at a presentation ceremony at Galli Estate last Thursday in recognition of their achievements in the past year.

Businesses will be vying for one of 10 awards, including the special Mayoral Achievement Award, and the highly coveted City of Melton Business of the Year award to be held next month.

Melton mayor Sophie Ramsey said it had been an incredibly competitive year.

“The Melton Business Excellence Awards are an ideal opportunity to recognise the top achieving businesses in our city,” Cr Ramsey said.

“On behalf of council, I would like to congratulate each of our finalists.

“We can’t wait to find out who takes out each category at the awards gala dinner on September 1.”

Quest Apartments Caroline Springs general manager Natalie Bui said she was pleased to see so many new businesses nominate and participate in this year’s awards.

“As a previous multiple-award winner, we felt the next step was to give something back to the awards and local business community via sponsorship and mentoring,” Ms Bui said.

The awards gala dinner will be at Tabcorp Park on Friday, September 1.
