Melton South Primary School pupils have celebrated 100 days of learning.
Grade 1 pupils and their teachers last week celebrated the milestone of a century of days since their first day of school.
Teacher Amanda Larizza said the children had been learning about the value of the number 100 as part of their curriculum.
“It’s a celebration of what they’ve learned over the past term,” Ms Larizza said. “We made the hats that used 10 pieces of paper and said ‘I’m 100 days smarter’.
“They bought in 100 items and we put together a story book about their first 100 days at school. It was a whole day centred on counting and a celebration of their growth.”
Ms Larizza said the experience of the 100 celebration had made pupils even more enthusiastic about honing their numeracy skills.
She said she hoped they would continue to grow in confidence throughout the year.
